Lump Sum Payments
January 1, 2025
- Members who were at the maximum of their phase and did not receive any regular service increment, shall receive a lump-sum payment of 2% of their annual salary
- Members who were within 2% of the maximum of their phase and received a partial increment shall receive a lump-sum payment of the difference between partial annual service increment percentage they already received in 2025 and the full 2% annual service increment
January 1, 2026
- Members who were at the maximum of their phase and did not receive any regular service increment, shall receive a lump-sum payment of 2% of their annual salary
- Members who were within 2% of the maximum of their phase and received a partial increment shall receive a lump-sum payment of the difference between partial annual service increment percentage they already received in 2026 and the full 2% annual service increment
Eligible members are defined as:
- Permanent employees who were actively working in a permanent or term position, or a term employee actively working in a term position of equal to or greater than 1 year (excluding casuals, recurring relief, and student employees)
- Actively working on January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025, AND
- Actively working at the time of signing a tentative agreement AND
- Are still actively working in the pay period immediately prior to the pay period in which these payments will be issued
Those inactive members on leave or temporary layoff or seasonal layoff would receive their respective payments upon their return to active status within 12 months from date of the scheduled payment.
