The Employer agrees to deduct dues as assessed by the Association from the salaries of all employees covered by this Agreement on a monthly basis. An employee may, as a matter of conscience, request, in writing, to the Association that the sum assessed and deducted by payroll checkoff be remitted by the Association on the employee's behalf to a charitable organization. The Executive of the Association may, in its absolute discretion, grant or refuse such a request.


The amounts deducted under Article 8.1 shall be remitted on a monthly basis to the Association no later than the tenth (10th) day of each month. The Association shall advise the Employer, in writing, one month in advance of any changes in the amount of regular monthly dues.
