Employees may refuse to cross a picket line arising out of a labour dispute. Employees shall not be subject to disciplinary action but will have pay deducted for the period of employment for which they refused to cross the picket line or failed to perform their assigned duties in the normal way unless alternate arrangements are approved in advance by the Dean of the college in consultation with the Executive Director of the Centre for Continuing and Distance Education (for regular session) or the Associate Vice-President of Student and Enrolment Services Division (for spring & summer session) or designate where appropriate. Employees will not be required to perform duties beyond their normal responsibilities as a result of a labour dispute.
