Approved and announced by the Board of Governors in 2017, and in addition to the University’s longstanding practice of publishing all staff and faculty salaries annually in the University Archives, the Top Earner Salary Disclosure site provides regularly updated salaries of faculty and staff who earn more than $125,000 per year. This additional disclosure is provided as a signal of openness, transparency and accountability—among the principles by which the University of Saskatchewan seeks to achieve its mission. With about a third of its funding from public dollars, the U of S seeks to ensure a balance between attracting top talent and pay structures that are financially sustainable.
