Employees shall, upon commencement of employment, be credited annually with ten (10) days working days for the purpose of sick leave and/or family responsibility leave. Employees shall notify their Supervisor of their absence.
Any unused leave will be carried over to a maximum accumulation of thirty (30) working days.
An employee who is appointed for a term of less than one (1) year shall receive sick leave on a pro-rated basis.
Should an employee have a negative balance of Sick Leave credits upon termination, the employee shall be required, by payroll deduction or otherwise, to pay back the amount of overpayment of earnings.
